How it works

A disciplined path from deal intake to closing.

Hard money lending can move efficiently when the investment thesis, documentation, and communication are clear. Here is the process Gustafson Capital is designed to follow.

The process

Clarity at every decision point.

Timing depends on the deal and the readiness of the file. We do not promise a closing date until underwriting, diligence, and documentation requirements are satisfied.

Step 01

Submit the opportunity

Provide the property, loan purpose, requested amount, project budget, closing target, and exit strategy.

Step 02

Initial deal review

We assess whether the request aligns with current lending parameters and identify the information needed for a deeper review.

Step 03

Underwriting & diligence

Property value, title, entity documents, borrower experience, insurance, budget, reserves, and exit assumptions may be reviewed.

Step 04

Proposed terms

If the opportunity fits, proposed economics and requirements can be outlined for review. They are not final until documented.

Step 05

Closing coordination

Approved files move through documentation, title, insurance, and funding coordination with the relevant parties.

Step 06

Loan administration

Borrowers follow the executed loan documents, draw procedures, payment schedule, and servicing requirements.
